Bontle Mamabolo

Research Assistant

Bontle Mamabolo is a Research Assistant at PRICELESS SA. Her academic background is a BSc in Biological Science, Honours in Forensic Science and a Master of Science in Medicine (Anatomical Science) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is pursuing further studies in Public Health. Her research interests are in improving overall maternal and child health as she believes, child health, growth and development is important and a major determinant of short- and long-term health effects in children and later into adulthood. She believes in the multidisciplinary approach to achieve goals associated with reducing maternal and child morbidity and mortality.

Yolanda Radu

Senior Researcher

Yolanda Radu is a Senior Researcher at the SAMRC Centre for Health Economics and Decision Science (PRICELESS SA). She has an LLM in International Law and Development and an LLB from Wits University and has over 10 years of experience in mainstreaming human rights principles and standards into development policy and programming. She possesses technical expertise in advancing development through programme design, research and policy analysis at national, regional and international level. Prior to joining PRICELESS SA, she worked in the UN, the NGO and public sectors where she was involved in the development and implementation of policies, legislation, and programmes necessary to address poverty, vulnerability, exclusion and inequality.

Michelle Brear

Senior Researcher

Michelle is a public health social scientist focused on the structural determinants of health, with expertise in qualitative and participatory methods. Her research is informed by primary health care approaches, that draw attention to the ways in which people’s everyday environments shape their health and call for the participation of people affected in defining, studying and implementing programs to address, health problems. Michelle joined PRICELESS in January 2024.
